Use your feet.

Get your exercise while you commute, and get to work free. If you are not already familiar with Madison's network of bike routes and walkable neighborhoods, give them a try and see why Madison is ranked one of the nation's best cities for cycling and walking. Try using your feet -- you'll clear your head and feel great when you arrive at work.

Showers and locker rooms
The Network222 building offers showers and locker rooms just off the front lobby that are available to all employees. The room is locked, and you open the door using your tenant access tag. There's no need to reserve ahead of time -- just bring a combination lock.

Bike parking
Network222 has spacious and easy-to-use bike racks that are protected from the elements on the P1 and P2 levels of the underground garage. The racks are located near the elevators for your convenience.

Pedestrian comfort and safety
Pedestrians can feel at ease walking around Network222. The building is wheelchair accessible and surrounded by well-lit sidewalks, marked crosswalks and welcoming benches near the building entrance. At the parking ramp doors, a horn and strobe system alerts pedestrians and bicyclists of the approach of automobiles.

Bike routes
Network222's location in downtown Madison is easily accessible by bicycle. The best way to get around Madison by bike is to use a map that highlights all the safest routes.

The City of Madison Bike Map is available at the Commuter Display in the Network222 break room, from the City of Madison Bicycle/Pedestrian Coordinator at (608) 266-6225, or you can download it.

A bike map of Dane County is available to download or by calling the Madison Area Metropolitan Planning Commission at 266-4336.

Rack & roll
All Metro buses are equipped with racks that accommodate two bicycles. They are convenient, easy to use, and your bike always rides free! Check it out here.

Bike/Pedestrian support and advocacy
The Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin advocates for bike-friendly policies, offers classes on bicycle safety and mechanics, and organizes Bike to Work Week every May.

Visit the City of Madison website for bicycle policies and regulations, including bike registration and route information.

The Bicycling Community Page is the number one resource for bicycling information in Madison, Dane County and beyond. Events, advocacy, touring, racing, bike shops and more!
