Share the ride.

It's smart to share your ride, and your expenses. You can cut your daily commuting costs by 50% or more by sharing your ride to work. Ridesharing saves wear and tear on your vehicle and yourself. You can used the priority lanes on the highway ramps, too.

Carpool
Carpooling is a door-to-door commute option for a small group of people who live near each other. Chances are, other Network222 employees live in your neighborhood and work similar hours to you. To connect with these neighbors, you can post a notice on the Rideshare Board in the Network222 break room. To expand the pool of potential rideshare companions, you may also register for the City of Madison's free ride-matching service by calling 266-RIDE, emailing them or visiting the city's rideshare page. To share gas, maintenance and parking expenses, calculate the total expenses and divide by the number of participants.

Vanpool
A vanpool is a group of 7-15 commuters who share the ride and travel cost from work using a van supplied by the State of Wisconsin. The State maintains the van, pays for gas, handles scheduling, and finds parking. You pay a low monthly fee to cover these costs. Try this professional and relaxing way to travel. You won't believe the value and convenience. Learn more about vanpooling.

Free Ride-Matching Service
Once you have expressed an interest in finding ridesharing, you can sit back and let the experts identify the car or vanpool that best suits your timing and route. When you register for the Rideshare Etc. Program, you will receive a report, at no charge or obligation, about other individuals in your area who are interested in ridesharing or finding a biking companion, and about other services available to you, including State Vanpools, Metro buses, Park & Ride lots, and bike paths. You may call the individuals or services directly to make your pick-up/drop-off arrangements. Register for the free ride-matching service by calling 266-RIDE or by e-mail.

For more information, visit the city's rideshare page.
