Know your options.

Free online help is available to get you moving. By registering with the Rideshare Etc. Program you can request a search of options based on your home address, work hours, and some of your travel preferences. The Rideshare Etc. Program is a service established by City-County-State government to provide commuters throughout the region with alternative means of transportation. You receive a report, at no charge or obligation, about other individuals in your area who are interested in ridesharing or finding a biking companion, and about other services available to you, including State Vanpools, Metro buses, Park & Ride lots, and bike paths. Then you pick the option that you think is best.

After you receive your report, you may call the individuals or services listed to make your pick-up/drop-off arrangements directly. Once you register with the Rideshare Etc. Program, you can request a search at any time. Your home address is always suppressed. Your information is deactivated from the system after one year or upon your request.

To find the best choice for you, call 266-RIDE, email rideshare@cityofmadison.com or visit the city's web site.
