Join Community Car.

You can leave your car at home and still have access to a car during the workday. Community Car, Madison’s member-based carsharing organization, provides cars by the hour to fit your needs. It’s simple. Membership includes everything, even gas, insurance and car washes. All you do is join, then get in and go.

Community Car members share access to a fleet of hybrid-electric and high gas-mileage vehicles located in reserved parking spots throughout the city. Currently, there is a car located just four blocks from Network222 at 10 East Doty Street, and there are plans for another car in the neighborhood in the near future.

Learn more or sign up as an individual or organization at Community Car's web site.

Flexibility during the workday.
Car-sharing is a convenient solution for downtown employees who bus, bike, carpool or walk to work but sometimes want a car to run errands during the day. Whether you need a car for a meeting across town or a business convention in Milwaukee, Community Car is accessible 24/7. Just log in to reserve the car, then pick it up when you need it.

An alternative to car ownership
Owning, insuring, maintaining and parking a car can be very expensive. On average, Madison area residents spend about $7,200 per year to own newer cars and more than $1,900 per year to own older cars with no monthly payment. In some U.S. cities, cars are an even greater expense than housing. If you only need a car ocasionally, then Community Car is your answer. Use Community Car for your personal and work-related needs, and you can give up the cost and hassle of owning a car or second car.

Membership options
You can join Community Car as an individual or sign up your business. Rates start at just $4.50 per hour.
